Edward J. Garnero

Edward J. Garnero, Eos SEDI science adviser

Edward J. Garnero uses geophysical tools permit the study of the inaccessible regions of the interior of Earth and planets, from crust to innermost core, using seismology, a branch of geophysics. Edward’s research aims to understand structures inside our planet and the Moon that relate to dynamical motions and hence evolution of the planetary body itself. His group is especially interested in how such things relate to important surface observables, such as plate tectonics and volcanism.
