AGU is pleased to present to you our newest blog, From the Prow.

We are kicking off the end of summer with what we believe is a great new opportunity for you to interact with AGU’s volunteer and staff leaders. The blog’s name stems from the glass prow that extends from the top of the Union’s headquarters. When the building was designed, the prow was intended to represent the beacon of leadership that AGU strives to be in the Earth and space sciences. We intend to follow that example in this blog.

From the Prow will be an opportunity for the many diverse leaders within AGU to engage in a two-way conversation with you, the members. We hope that you will ask us questions about progress on our initiatives and that you will share your own achievements as well. Our goal is to spark conversation about the issues and trends that matter most to you.

Part of what makes AGU so special is the dynamic and collaborative nature of the organization. We hope that by supporting those core values in this new forum, we can make From the Prow a place where we can work together on achieving the strategic goals of the organization.
